When is my application due?

Is there an application fee?
There is a non-refundable application fee of $30. Those who turn in their applications before December 18th will receive a $10 discount.
What is the application process?
Turn in your application no later than January 2nd. There will be a phone interview following a review of your application. You will then be informed by a follow-up email on your acceptance status.
How much will the school cost?
School tuition is $800, which covers the school sessions, a retreat, and books. There will be additional costs for a required prayer journal and recommended SOZO ministry.
There will be a $50 discount for those who pay tuition in full at the beginning of term. Returning student tuition will be $550 for this upcoming session with a $50 discount for those who pay their balance in full at the beginning of term.

What are the age requirements?
Students must be either: At least 18 years of age OR Currently a senior in high school (graduating in May 2012).
What if I don't think I can raise enough money to afford the school?
We encourage raising support from family and loved ones. People are often eager to invest in God's work in the lives of their friends and family. (Charitable donations to the school in support of students are tax deductible for those interested.)
Will there be housing available for out of town students?
No official housing is offered. In some circumstances, church families will rent rooms to students in need. All housing is provided on a case-by-case basis. If you are looking for housing, make a note of it on your application or in your interview. Be sure to cover your bases by pursuing the commercial housing market, as well.
When does the school meet?
School will normally meet on Wednesday evenings from 6pm - 9:30pm, beginning on the 18th of January.

The school will be held at the home of Bethel Atlanta's senior leaders, Steve and Lindy Hale in Tyrone, GA.
What is the school Schedule?
The school will meet for approximately 14 weeks from January 18th through April 25th

Is attendance required?
100% attendance is required to graduate. Absences may be made up by listening to a recording of the session missed, and submitting a written report about the session.

I'm not an experienced artist. Is the school for me?
The school is for absolutely anyone creative or anyone who even knows someone creative. It will be an inspiring experience that everyone can benefit from, especially those looking to grow in the arts.
What will the school curriculum look like?
The school will emphasize creative impartation, personal and expressive growth, and the development of a proactive artistic community. There will be light reading and scripture memorization, accompanied by written book reports. Everyone will demonstrate a creative expression before the class during the semester. Small groups will be an integral part of the personal and collective growth processes.
Who will be teaching?
Anthony Skinner is the director for the school. There will also be many guest (TBA) In the past, we have heard from John Mark McMillan, Don & Kristine Potter, Phil Keaggy, Shawn Bolz, Mark Heimermann, and more.
How much hands-on training will there be?
One on one technical training, instrument instruction, etc. will not be part of the in class curriculum. Creative and personal growth will be the primary areas of focus. However, there will be opportunities to meet with Anthony outside of school times for creative and skill development.
